WP10–WP13 and MC11/MC13 on Howo T7H, Sitrak, Shacman X3000/6000.
Symptoms
- no pull
- black smoke
- intake whistle
Likely causes
- Air leak at hoses/intercooler.
- Turbo shaft / VGT carbon.
- Blocked air filter.
What to check
- Soapy water on joints.
- Shaft play and oil in the cold side.
- Air filter and intake hose.
- Desired vs actual boost.
Can you keep driving
You can limp if the turbo is not chewing itself. Do not lug it uphill.
