Fault codes / P2563
SAE: Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Commanded geometry vs actual. Not P0299 (underboost) and not P2263 (turbo system). P2564 is the low-signal sibling. Our ramid table has no P2563 row — we do not invent an SPN. No OEM.
Which trucks see it
Howo T7H, Shacman, Sitrak, Weichai WP10–WP13, MC11/MC13. Often next to P2263/P0299.
Symptoms
- no pull
- MIL with P2263/P0299
- actual VGT does not follow desired
- wet plug after a wash
Likely causes
- SAE: position-sensor circuit/range.
- Carbon / mechanical stop. Wet plug.
- Do not mix with P0299/P2263.
What to check
- Read actual vs desired VGT.
- 5 V, ground, signal, plug.
- Actuator test — do not force the gears. No invented OEM.
Can you keep driving
Limp without full load if the cartridge is quiet. Home form: P2563 or a photo.
