P1011 Howo — metering valve, causes and repair

P1011: ECU sees the metering valve off target. On Howo A7 WD615/WP10 the usual field cause is feed hydraulics, not a dead valve. Return-screen clog and return pressure under ~2.5 bar beat a pump swap. OEM in our card: VG1540090006 (screen), VG1092040306 (relief). No metering-valve OEM — we do not invent one.

Symptoms

• no pull, derate
• rail will not meet target, often with P0087
• hard cold start

Likely causes

• Clogged return screen, return below ~2.5 bar. OEM VG1540090006 — confirm on the truck.
• Worn relief valve. OEM VG1092040306 — confirm.
• Open/corroded plug or the valve itself. No OEM in the card.

What to check

1. Measure feed and return pressure.
2. Clean/replace the return screen.
3. Coil ~2.5 kΩ ±0.2, inspect the plug at the pump.
