Fault codes / P2263
The turbo system does not follow the command. On VGT Weichai that is often carbon or a dead actuator, not a new cartridge on day one. Neighbours: P0299, P2563. Check hoses before the turbo.
Which trucks see it
WP10–WP13, MC11 on Howo T7H, Shacman, Sitrak. Water in the actuator after an engine wash is common.
Symptoms
- no pull
- boost does not follow pedal
- MIL with P0299/P2563
- actuator silent on test
Likely causes
- VGT carbon / stuck vanes.
- Actuator or position sensor, wet plug.
- Intake/exhaust leak upstream.
- Collapsed air filter.
What to check
- Desired vs actual boost and VGT position.
- Soapy water, filter, shaft play.
- Actuator test — do not force gears by hand.
- No invented turbo OEM.
Can you keep driving
Limp if the shaft is quiet. Knock or oil smoke — stop. See also P0299.
